Chisholm Trail Technology Center offers a variety of short-term health certification courses designed to provide adult learners with the skills and credentials needed for immediate employment or career advancement in the health care field. Whether you're beginning your career or expanding your scope of practice, these programs offer high-quality, focused training led by experienced industry professionals.
Each course is structured to deliver essential knowledge and hands-on experience in a short timeframe, making them ideal for working adults or those seeking entry into health-related occupations.
Available Courses
Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
- 60 hours (includes 24 hours of clinical experience)
- Prepares Certified Nurse Aides to safely administer medications under licensed supervision in long-term care settings.
Advanced CMA: Insulin Administration
- 24 hours
- Provides specialized training for CMAs to safely administer insulin and manage diabetes-related care.
Advanced CMA: Respiratory and Gastric Medications
- 18 hours
- Expands the CMA’s role to include administration of respiratory and gastric medications.
CMA Continuing Education Update (CMA-CEU)
- 8 hours
- Meets the continuing education requirements for CMA renewal in Oklahoma.
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA): Long-Term Care Aide
- 91 hours (includes 16 hours of clinical experience)
- Equips students with the skills needed to provide basic care and assistance to residents in long-term care facilities.
Home Health Aide
- 16 hours
- Trains CNAs to provide in-home personal care and assistance to patients and clients.
Long-Term Care Aide + Home Health Aide Combination
- 107 hours
- Offers dual certification for individuals seeking to work in both facility-based and home health care settings.
Phlebotomy – Adult Short Course
- 76 hours total (60 hours classroom + 16 hours clinical)
- Teaches the skills and safety protocols needed to perform blood collection procedures in clinical and laboratory environments.
Program Support
Instructor: Kristy Turner, RN
Kristy is a Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience in both long-term care and acute care settings. She provides expert instruction, real-world insight, and hands-on training to prepare students for successful certification and employment.
Support services and enrollment assistance are available to all students.
