JOB TITLE: Electrical Trades Instructor

LOCATION: Omega, Oklahoma

POSITION TYPE:​​​​​​​ Full-Time, 10-month

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Chisholm Trail Technology Center is seeking a qualified and dedicated Electrical Trades Instructor to deliver comprehensive instruction and hands-on training to high school juniors, seniors, and adult learners preparing for careers in the electrical field. This role provides a unique opportunity to mentor and guide students toward achieving technical proficiency, industry certifications, and career success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  1. Develop and implement a robust electrical trades curriculum aligned with industry standards, ensuring students are prepared for entry-level positions and/or certification exams.
  2. Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and lab activities that promote skill development and theoretical understanding.
  3. Provide individualized support and constructive feedback to students to encourage continuous improvement and professional growth.
  4. Ensure the classroom and lab environment meet all safety standards and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility.
  5. Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, practical assignments, and projects, maintaining accurate records of performance.
  6. Collaborate with industry partners and advisory committees to ensure the program reflects current trends, technologies, and workforce needs.
  7. Stay current in the electrical field by participating in professional development opportunities and maintaining required certifications.
  8. Serve as a mentor and role model, instilling professionalism, work ethic, and technical competence in students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED, along with a valid Journeyman License, is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the electrical field (teaching experience is preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
